1. What made you decide on CrossFit?
I was a chronic gym hopper and had tried everything else.  It helped that I also had a Groupon.
2. What have you enjoyed so far in being a part of CrossFit Akeso?
The friendships that have come out of being a part of this community.  Some of the friendships were very unexpected, but I wouldn’t change them for the world. Shout out to my P.I.C.
3. What have you most improved on since being at Akeso?
My weightlifting technique.  I was unable to lift more than 65# off of the ground without causing back pain and putting me out of the gym for days on end.  I also don’t muscle everything now…just sometimes.
4. What’s something not many people know about you?
I have ran 3 half marathons, 2 20ks and I a huge boy band fan.
5. What’s your favorite pre-workout snack?
Eggo Waffles (they fit nicely into my macro count regardless if it is a low carb or high carb day) with salted caramel protein shake.
6. What’s your greatest accomplishment as an athlete?
Winning my first Olympic Weightlifting meet
7. How would you describe your life using only 3 film titles?
The Accountant, You’ve Got Mail, Horrible Bosses
8. If you could redesign the food pyramid without any dire health consequences how would it look?
Carbs, tacos/pizza,  more carbs, and protein
9.What’s the last song you listened to?
Survivor by Destiny’s Child.  I like my Pop 2K on Sirius XM
10. Who’s been a big inspiration to you in life?
My maternal grandpa.  He was always there to encourage me when I thought I couldn’t do something.  He was always there to put things into perspective for me when I needed it the most.  He was my rock outside of my parents.
11. Which animal would make the best type of president if the animal kingdom ever rises up and takes over?
The Apes. Duh!! Have you never seen Planet of the Apes!?!?!  Hail Caeser!!
