My brother and sister-in-law introduced me to CrossFit and I wanted to really push myself at something. I came to CrossFit Akeso because my cousin was a member and thought I would love the smaller, 1:1 setting, especially as a beginner.

2. What has been your favorite WOD or Lift since you have joined CrossFit?

I have come to love the dead-lift and I would say my favorite WOD is Karen (150 Wall-balls) for some odd reason.

3. What has been your least Favorite WOD or Lift?

Least favorite WOD is Fran (21-15-9 Thrusters, Pull Ups) . Least favorite lift is the overhead squat, so hard!!!

4. Have you accomplished any particular goals since joining CrossFit Akeso and if so what are they? 

Recently I’ve been able to string my toes to bar together which was exciting, I’ve gotten pretty efficient at the rope climb and have been able to get handstand push-ups! I’m also proud that I can deadlift over 240 lbs, never figured I would do that!

5. Tell us something we may not already know about yourself?

I play piano.

6. What is your biggest pet peev? 

Close talkers, biting fingernails and bullies

7. What makes you laugh so hard you could cry?

Couple of my cousins and I do this stupid voice to each other that nobody else finds funny but never fails to make me cry

I always appreciate the team atmosphere and the 1:1 coaching that is helpful but not intimidating. People are always willing to help and give suggestions. I love it!
